Joelle Bangsund

Joelle Bangsund, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of therapy experience with children and adolescents. Joelle is a Certified Field Traumatologist through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology and a member of the Florida Crisis Consortium. Joelle provides therapy to children, adolescents, and families. She specializes in trauma, although also treats a wide variety of mental health issues. Joelle has worked with children for over 25 years in a variety of settings, including residential treatment, juvenile justice, community mental health, and child protection. Joelle has recieved specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She also utilizes narrative therapy, cognitve behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, sand tray, and art in child-centered play therapy to create a safe environment for children to express their thoughts and feelings. She encourages parental/family involvement in the therapeutic process.
