About
Dr. Rosemarie Kurtz is a neuropsychologist specializing in comprehensive assessments for clients with vulnerabilities impacting their functioning at school, home, work, and/or social settings. After earning her doctorate at Columbia University, she completed a fellowship at Northwell Health. In so, she has experience working with children, young adults, and their families at multiple academic medical centers, schools, and community clinics. She has extensive experience assessing ADHD, autism, learning differences, language disorders, intellectual challenges, and the emotional and behavioral difficulties that often accompany these. Dr. Kurtz captures a holistic picture utilizing methods that are strongly supported by research. She tailors each evaluation to not only detect areas of need, but highlight areas of strength that can be capitalized on to promote resilience and self-confidence. She then meets to provide clarity, arm clients with information, and recommend concrete next steps. Dr. Kurtz’s commitment to her clients does not end at the last session. She has extensive experience in navigating school systems, participating in school meetings to help ensure school-based recommendations are implemented. Additionally, she has experience advocating in formal proceedings, illustrating her findings and recommendations to key parties. Specialties: I specialize in the assessment of ADHD, autism, learning differences, language disorders, and intellectual challenges; as well as the emotional and behavioral difficulties that can accompany these vulnerabilities. Credentials & Experience: I received my Doctorate in Psychology from Columbia and completed a 2 year fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Northwell Health.
