About

My one goal is to help you live an authentically joyful and fulfilling life. Anxiety and depression might be reasons for considering therapy but we often ignore or fail to recognize experiences of trauma. Unresolved trauma results in emotions and bodily feelings that keep you "stuck" in your life. Personal tragedies can cause trauma but trauma is also the cumulative result of every day stressors, such as COVID, relationship issues, employment, FOMO, and social media use. As a result, we may then experience negative emotional states that cause us to get pulled into unproductive and even harmful relationships and social situations. Along with relational psychotherapy, internal family systems, and EMDR to address trauma in therapy, I also offer adult autism evaluations with the client as a collaborative partner. I am neurodivergent affirming and i never lose sight of the rich nature and unique experience of each individual. My practice is structured to provide a very specialized, patient-focused service with maximum scheduling flexibility, 24/7 communication, and a highly collaborative patient-therapist relationship. Wherever we are, whether it's in the office or on-line, you have a safe, judgement free, no apologies-needed space with me. Your well-being is first and foremost! Specialties: Right now I am very focused on helping people questioning autism (ASD). I have developed a speciality in the diagnosis of ASD in adults. I use appropriate instruments (not those designed for children, which adults find uncomfortable) and clients are treated as collaborators not patients. Together, autism seekers and myself are on a journey to make sense of the mysteries of their lives. Credentials & Experience: I am an EMDR Certified therapist. I diagnose autism spectrum disorder in children and adults. I accept Husky for ASD evaluations.

"The need for trauma-informed work is skyrocketing, increased by the turmoil of current world states, climate change, violence towards many groups of people, and barriers to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. I use EMDR to help individuals with both simple and complex trauma histories. I also use methodology from DBT and CBT to address negative cognitions and their impact on your life."

Insurance & Policies

Accepts insurance

I don't take most insurances as they treat people as numbers or policies. Treatments must be "medically necessary" to be covered. What if your issue doesn't rise to this level? Many issues in life are not mental health conditions and people need help before they met criteria for a disorder.
