About
New: accepting HUSKY for children. Are you or your child having issues with attention or academically? Do you suspect you or your child may have autism? A child with ADHD was believed to outgrow it, but 70% of children with ADHD will have it as adults. Our evaluations use advanced methods to assess ADHD, learning disabilities/dyslexia, memory, autism, trauma, anxiety & depression. ADHD can be especially difficult to diagnose since a language processing issue, as well as anxiety, can both manifest as ADHD. Our evaluations comprehensively assess all 3 areas, among many others, to arrive at the most accurate and valid diagnosis. Our autism evaluations also carefully assess boys/men as well as girls/women, the latter often getting missed or misdiagnosed. Girls can get misdiagnosed because both ADHD & Autism in girls and women can manifest differently since they are often better at scripting, using masking behaviors, and overcompensation, to try to appear neurotypical or "normal." Dyslexia & reading issues often go undiagnosed & it’s important to identify these early to ensure academic success. Our neuropsychological evaluations are able to carefully assess academic functioning, which often helps in obtaining needed school support services. Pls. feel free to email me - I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have. Specialties: I assess both children and adults who having trouble focusing or who suspect they may have Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We assess ADHD as part of a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation to provide meaningful and specific information about areas of strength and challenging areas, in order to guide our recommendations and strategies.
