Professional Counselor Associate
·LPC-AAbout
I’m a licensed mental health therapist with a background in both military service and law enforcement, including serving as a city police officer in Connecticut. I understand firsthand the impact that chronic stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, and high-pressure environments can have on your life, relationships, and sense of self. Whether you’re a first responder, veteran, professional, or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy can help you regain balance, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional strength. Finding the right therapist matters. I believe trust, presence, and genuine connection are essential for meaningful change. I use evidence-based approaches including CBT and DBT to tailor treatment to your individual needs while helping you develop practical tools to better manage stress, emotions, and life’s challenges. I’m not a “sit back and nod” therapist. I provide a supportive, direct, and down-to-earth approach in a confidential, nonjudgmental space. Together, we’ll work to help you process challenges, strengthen resilience, improve emotional wellness, and create a healthier, more balanced life. Specialties: Working with client's who's normal day is fast paced and stressful can leave them feeling unable to slow down. Treatments that I use include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and training you to slow down and take a breath. Credentials & Experience: My experience spans nearly 20 years or crisis response and intervention. My training is a mix of formal education (Master's Degree) and field work. I have worked with both teens and adults who are struggling and looking for help.
"My therapeutic approach is tailored to fit your needs. Every person is unique and their therapeutic sessions should be able to fit their needs. Working together to find what works best for you is part of the process."
