About

Hello and welcome! I am Tori and I am passionate about working with adults struggling with life transitions, difficulty adjusting with changes or loss, and individuals who have experienced trauma or abuse. I primarily work with people who have experienced complex trauma throughout their lives, anyone struggling in their relationships or with communicating their needs and desires, and those with self-esteem or self-image issues. Together, we can work through unpleasant memories, current triggers, and unhelpful thought patterns to improve your everyday functioning and regain your sense of control of your life. I specialize in trauma-informed treatment using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and somatic work. I have utilized EMDR for 5+ years and love seeing how much this therapy helps my clients improve quickly compared to other modalities. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for my clients to feel comfortable to work through their stressors. I believe everyone is the expert of their own life and deserves emotional well-being and healthy relationships. Throughout our time in therapy, I will work alongside you to help you develop and improve on any missing skills, achieve a greater sense of self-worth, and achieve a greater feeling of functioning and life satisfaction. Specialties: I work with clients who struggle with ADHD, depression, and anxiety related to environmental changes (personal and global), complex trauma (i.e. from abusive or neglectful parents and/or partners), and deep feelings of guilt or shame resulting from upbringing or religious trauma. Together, we'll identify the roots of your current issues and develop a plan to address them quickly and sustainably. Credentials & Experience: I have over 5 years of experience working with adults and teens in crisis and navigating intense emotional distress. I'm licensed in both CO and OH and have additional certifications and advanced trainings in trauma-informed therapy modalities, including EMDR, Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma, and more.

"I utilize a combination of therapeutic approaches based on the unique needs of every individual I work with. Therapy is a collaborative effort with you in the driver's seat, as I offer directions based on years of experience with "mapping" the human condition if you will. My default approach is trauma-informed with a lens of "what happened to you," to identify life patterns and roads for rewiring."
