Whew! It's hard to be a human, isn't it? There are so many demands all around us, often complicated by hardships and things out of our control. I'm committed to providing you a safe environment where I will support you with compassion and understanding. You deserve an unbiased space to be heard, make changes, process the hard stuff and empower you to feel comfortable in your own skin. I am knowledgeable in trauma, mood disorders, life changes, woman's issues and behavioral concerns. I integrate holistic practices with skill building to treat the entire person, just as mental health care should be. I specialize in using a trauma-responsive approach to help support individuals, couples & families, focusing on the whole-person & their lived experience to inform therapeutic interventions. Additionally, I am to recognize and adjust treatment to support developmentally appropriate skill building/coping strategies to support the person beyond the room. Finding the right fit for a professional is important and I understand I will not be the right fit for everyone. I invite you to reach out and schedule a free 15-minute consultation, available both by phone or video so you can make an educated decision on your care.
"The type of therapeutic practices I use will be dependent on the client's lived-experience and presenting symptoms. I often utilize EMDR with Internal Family Systems intertwined when treating trauma, which both have a natural somatic component. When working with skill building/coping due to stressors, anxiety, self-harm and suicidality, DBT is helpful. CBT is often explored when helpful."
