About
I strive to foster a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to embark on their journey of growth and healing. My approach varies by individuals and their goals. At Silver Linings Mental Health, I incorporate a systemic, multicultural, and social justice lens, recognizing the broader contexts that influence one's life and experiences. As a Mexican/Chicana and Puerto Rican therapist, I value culturally responsive care and creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered. Our work may include any or all of the following: Mindfulness, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT, EMDR, tapping, breathwork, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and ego states. I support clients navigating dissociative disorders, racial trauma, chronic pain, ADHD, OCD, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions. With a holistic and empathetic perspective, I aim to honor your lived experiences and support your healing, growth, and reconnection with yourself. As a bilingual practitioner, I honor your right to understand and be understood in Spanish or English. I look forward to collaborating with you in an inclusive and affirming way. Specialties: I work with clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, DID, and other challenges to daily functioning. I often provide clients with psychoeducation to help them make sense of their symptoms and address any associated shame. Most importantly, clients learn to replace self-judgement with curiosity. My clients often apply the skills and education from sessions to their daily lives. Credentials & Experience: I have worked in the field of social work since 2015, across all age groups. As a social worker, I incorporate a "person-in-environment" perspective to better understand my clients' lives holistically.
"I am an eclectic therapist, meaning that I use various treatments depending on the client and what resonates with them. Common treatments include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping, EMDR, Mindfulness, Ego States. My goal is to help clients understand that they have come as far as they have because of who they are, not in spite of who they are."
