Licensed Professional Counselor
·MA, LPCAbout
Many people seek therapy at a time of change or transition, when dealing with increased stress, loss, or for reasons they may not quite have a name for just yet. In today's world, a typical day might bring on any combination of these concerns and I strongly believe in the value of therapy in navigating day to day life. Whatever brings you here, it is valid and I look forward to learning more about your experience. My approach to therapy is to offer a safe space to share, to process, to get feedback, to set goals, to offer healing, and increase skills to navigate our daily experience most effectively. I have years of experience in treating mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. I also have experience in working through times of transition and adjustment. Currently, I am providing virtual sessions with adults. I have training in evidenced based approaches such as DBT, ACT, and ERP which I bring to sessions as needed. Reaching out for help can be tough, and I am here to make this process feel as supported as possible. I'm open to a consultation call to be sure we feel like a good fit and from there can discuss scheduling. I look forward to connecting! Credentials & Experience: I have over thirteen years experience helping adults and families meet their goals. I'm licensed in Colorado and Illinois, with training in ACT, DBT, ERP, and a certification in anger management.
"I often utilize approaches like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in sessions. In your first session, I'll gather history to inform our course of treatment and better understand your goals. In subsequent sessions, we'll review how your thoughts and feelings impact behaviors and develop skills to cope with challenges."
