About
Hello and Welcome! I am a licensed mental health therapist with 20 years of experience working with adults, geriatrics, children, and families. I am bilingual and speak English and Spanish. Currently, I work with women between the ages of 18 and 65 years old. I specialize in the "midlife" phase of life including challenges that come with perimenopause/menopause. I also work with young women who are trying to find their place in the world. I give special attention to the unique challenges women of color face. My clientele includes women who identify as White, Latino, Black, Pacific Asian, South Asian, Native American, and Mixed Race. Considering today's life challenges, I am currently working with women who want help with issues related to anxiety, anger management, depression, and past trauma. I help women manage their family dynamics, romantic relationships, friendships, and empower them to redefine their identity. I specialize in crisis work, life transitions, and work/life balance. Seeking help from a mental health professional is the first step in your mental health journey. I congratulate you on taking this first leap. Together, we will work to help you understand yourself better, find solutions to life problems, feel comfortable to have free expression, help heal from your past, and find growth and resiliency in yourself. Specialties: My style is warm, open minded, and empowering. In addition to my private practice experience, I have worked with the Department of Mental Health for several years as well as County Contracted Agencies. I have supervised MSW interns and have been a therapist for other therapists.
