About
I've spent over 11 years as a mental health and addictions counselor, working with individuals and couples who are ready for something to shift. What matters most to me in individual counseling is the relationship we build together. Research consistently shows that the connection between therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of meaningful change — and it's something no app or self-help book can replicate. That's why my approach draws from humanistic and psychodynamic traditions, creating a space rooted in empathy, acceptance, and genuine compassion where we can explore the patterns keeping you stuck and develop the insight to move forward. For couples, I work with Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), a well-researched approach that gets beneath surface-level arguments to the deeper emotional dynamics driving disconnection. Together, we'll focus on rebuilding emotional safety, deepening your bond, and creating new patterns of relating that feel secure and fulfilling for both partners. I see adults and teens 16 and older through virtual sessions, so you can access support from wherever you feel most comfortable. I accept the insurance providers listed below and also offer a $125 out-of-pocket rate per individual session. For couples therapy, sessions are $125 and not billed through insurance. If you'd like to see if we're a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation — give me a call to set one up. Specialties: I specialize in helping individuals and couples overcome a wide range of mental health challenges. I am experienced with working with people who face anxiety, depression, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, life transitions, attachment wounds, relationship challenges, and substance use disorders. In my work with couples, I focus on helping partners navigate poor communication, loss of trust or intimacy, differing goals, financial disagreements, and recurring conflict so they can build stronger, more fulfilling connections.
"I take an eclectic approach to counseling, which means I draw from several evidence-based therapeutic approaches to fit your unique needs. My work integrates humanistic therapy, which focuses on your inherent potential and centers on empathy, acceptance, and genuine connection between us. I also use psychodynamic techniques, which explore how your past experiences and unconscious patterns shape your current thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Mindfulness-based interventions help you stay grounded in the present moment, observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment, and respond rather than react to what life brings. Emotionally-focused therapy helps you understand, express, and work through deep emotions, so they become a source of insight and healing rather than overwhelm. In each session, you can expect to feel truly heard, gain a deeper understanding of your emotions, and develop practical insights into how your mind works and how to strengthen its functioning."
