About

Need help to tackle those tantrums, not listening & attention seeking behaviors? Had a really stressful/traumatic event & you all need help coping? I believe we all have a spark inside of us that helps us through difficult times to find joy again. We empower parents to find your confidence to set boundaries and help your child regulate through their emotions. We give kids and teens tools to build their confidence, self-esteem & create healthy relationships with others. We specialize in Play Therapy for treatment of depression, anxiety, grief/loss, stressful events & to build life skills for ADHD & Autistic individuals. I have supported families for over 27 years & help children/teens cope with stressful and traumatic events. I offer play therapy for 0-18 to help youth & families learn ways to express big feelings, cope with life changes (grief, trauma, divorce, medical, school) & connect to each other. We are a neuroaffirming practice that empowers youth w/Autism & ADHD. I am here to provide support to you, your child/teen, and your family as a collaborative team. As a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, I offer a tailored experience to help you and your child/teen learn ways to cope with stress through play therapy tools that include art, games, toys, mindfulness, sand tray, movement/dance, and practical coping skills. Specialties: As a play therapist, I focus on the use of play as means to build your child/teen's skills and strengthen their relationships. During the assessment process, you/your child will participate in activities to identify your child's strengths and area of focus for treatment. Therapy sessions can include the use of art, games, toys, movement and digital play therapy activities that facilitate healing. Credentials & Experience: I use play therapy, EMDR (type of trauma therapy), sand tray, expressive arts and movement to help children ages 0-5, youth and teens play/talk about hard things, learn how to cope and support their self-esteem. Children/teens leave a play therapy session with more tools, support & self-confidence.

"As a play therapist, my focus in treatment is activities that use play to help develop skills & build resiliency for your child and teen. I take a prescriptive approach to therapy. We may play a game, create art, move, create a sandtray or play with toys of your child's choosing to help them express their feelings, regulate their body and process their thoughts to help them develop coping skills."
