About

Welcome! I work with families and individuals that are stuck and ready for change. Therapy is a great place to open up, be understood, and find the best path forward. I've been in the mental health field most of my adult life and value this process each and every day. It includes honest feedback, improved self-awareness, an inventory of the parts of our life that we want to keep, and those that we work to adjust. If you're ready to work through the challenges, I'd like to help! You can count on me to be down-to-earth, yet direct. I bring my analytical nature as well as my (hard-earned) emotional awareness into the therapeutic process. We'll share moments of brutal honesty, acceptance, clarity, and will celebrate successes. Therapy is a meaningful conversation within the bounds of a safe and supportive space. If you're a family struggling with conflict or loss, I'd love to hear from you. If you're an individual experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction or complex inter-personal relationship issues, I'd love to help. Specialties: I work well with families in conflict or transition, teens and parents, and struggling family members who are distant and out of reach. I also enjoy working with couples to improve their ability to slow down, understand and value one another's position, and to connect on deeper levels. My best individual work is done with inquisitive souls and those who are ready for change! Credentials & Experience: I have over 20 years' experience in the mental health field and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The majority of my experience is in the out-patient (office) setting, but includes work in teen group homes (5 years), adult treatment centers (4 years) and direct in-home treatment (3 years).

"I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), person-centered, narrative, attachment-based, internal family systems, Structural Family Therapy and Bowen Systems. These various approaches seek greater self-awareness, improved insight, physical and emotional regulation, relationship security, and healthy identity."
