About
Life is hard. Anxiety, depression, adjusting to new experiences, and PTSD are just a few of the things that have a way of knocking us down. It sometimes takes courage to reach out for help. However, if you have come to a point where your dissatisfaction with life is greater than your discomfort of asking for help, you may be ready to explore therapy. I strive to make this as easy as possible for my clients. I offer a judgement free zone as an empathetic listener who may have some insight that will help you find your answers. This is your life. I am only here in the background, holding a lantern to help you light your path. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems, Trauma Focused CBT, and several cognitive behavioral models. I work with clients who are struggling with past trauma, substance use, depression, and anxiety. I hold two masters degrees and I strive to continue learning and growing for the benefit of my clients. Finding the right therapist for you is of upmost importance. Your choice to share your journey with me is a sacred gift. Your safety is of utmost importance. Therapy is something you do for you. My focus is to assist clients in learning new things about themselves and realizing their full potential for the best life possible. Reach out and I will answer. Specialties: I work with clients who are experiencing a variety of symptoms. We identify in the first two sessions what those symptoms are and what the client would like to address. There is a great deal of talking, listening, and skill-building. My hope is to help clients heal and complete therapy in the briefest time possible for them. I am kind and non-judgmental but I believe therapy is work. Credentials & Experience: I am licensed and qualified to conduct individual or family counseling. I love working with all types of people. In person or telehealth.
"Motivated clients will enjoy my straightforward but warm approach. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I move clients through the process at their best pace. I believe CBT therapies are gentle and kind, even as they are hard work. I also work with trauma clients using Trauma Focused CBT for teens and EMDR for adults. Therapy is a gift we give ourselves. I hope I can be part of your journey."
