About
Painful experiences have a way of making us feel completely alone. Sometimes what we need most is someone willing to meet us right where we are — no judgments, no expectations — and help us find a way forward. Healthy relationships can be hard to navigate, especially when a lifetime of hurt keeps getting in the way. My goal is to help you build connections that feel fulfilling and genuinely nourishing with the people who matter most to you. Alongside anxiety and depression, I feel especially passionate about working with those who have lived through trauma. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to explore what's contributing to your distress, whether that stems from something in your past or something you're facing right now. My training in this model has focused specifically on trauma and how to work with individuals to develop the tools needed for healthy connection. It's a powerful approach to counseling because it goes beyond surface-level symptoms and gets to the heart of what's driving your emotional experience. I also incorporate EMDR to support trauma processing, helping your nervous system release what words alone sometimes cannot. I truly believe we are all doing the best we can with what we have — yet so often, the very tools we used to survive past pain become the things we get judged for later. That is not fair, and it does not have to be the end of your story. I want to work alongside you to find a path toward becoming the person you want to be. There is so much more to life than just surviving. Reach out to me so we can start putting you on the path to healing. Specialties: I specialize in working with clients who have a history of trauma. I am experienced with helping individuals free themselves from the lasting impact of their traumatic experiences and take their lives back. What I find most fulfilling about my work is experiencing healing alongside my clients and watching them reclaim their power as they move forward. Credentials & Experience: I am committed to ongoing training and education to provide my clients with the highest quality experience. I hold a PhD in Counseling and Psychological Studies with an emphasis in Trauma and Crisis Counseling, and I continuously work to expand my knowledge and expertise in the field.
"I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. I also have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, a therapeutic approach that helps people understand their emotional patterns and build healthier, more secure connections. I draw on both of these methods while bringing compassion and genuine understanding to my work with clients. My approach explores what you have experienced in your life and how those experiences have shaped your behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about yourself. Together, we then work to heal those wounds and help you move toward lasting healing and growth."
