About
You're doing everything you can to keep life running smoothly—caring for others, managing responsibilities, showing up when needed. But lately, you've noticed something: no matter how much you give, you don’t feel like you're getting the same in return. Maybe you feel unseen, stuck in patterns you never realized were there. You're starting to wonder: Is there another way? Therapy isn’t just about fixing what’s broken—it’s about recognizing these patterns, understanding yourself more deeply, and making choices that align with the life you truly want. I’m Dr. Tyler Maxson, a psychologist passionate about helping individuals build insight and gain the tools to create lasting change. At the core of my work is one simple truth: real health begins with human connection. That’s why I focus on strengthening relationships—your connection to yourself, others, and your sense of meaning. You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s uncover what’s been holding you back and help you move forward with clarity and confidence. Specialties: We start with a brief discovery call to discuss your goals and see if we're a good fit. In the first session, I ask questions to understand your background. Subsequent sessions follow a structured outline: discussing recent events, reviewing progress, introducing new skills or psychoeducation, and planning implementation. Expect a supportive, collaborative environment Credentials & Experience: For the better part of the last decade, I have been working with doctors, nurses, and medical staff. This has helped me develop a biopsychosocial lens. I have also worked in forensics (family court), as well as Adolescent treatment (Anasazi), giving me a breadth of experience in diverse settings.
"I will tailor your care to your needs, however, all my clients will experience some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe the mind and body, and spirit are interconnected, and CBT helps us understand how beliefs shape emotions and actions. In therapy, we'll consciously engage thoughts and build coping skills. My goal is for everyone who walks through my door to leave feeling empowered."
