About
Most people who find me are ready for something to shift, even if they can't name what that is yet. It might be the 3 a.m. anxiety that steals your sleep, the same painful patterns repeating in love, work, or family, or trauma so familiar it feels like part of your identity. Maybe you stopped recognizing yourself somewhere along the way. We start exactly where you are—no pressure to perform, fix everything at once, or have it all figured out. There's no "right" way to begin counseling. Together, we slow the swirl of thoughts and feelings and create space inside so something better can take root. My approach draws on EMDR, CBT, DBT, journaling, guided imagery, role play, and psychodrama techniques to work through anxiety, trauma, burnout, and relationship patterns. Some people come in functioning but want more—more clarity, more purpose, more self-trust. Mental wellness isn't just about feeling less bad. It's about feeling steadier, clearer, and more in charge of your own life. Reaching out feels different when a real person reaches back. If you're ready to start—or even just thinking about it—reach out. We'll figure it out together. Specialties: I specialize in working with people in recovery who want more than just clean time. I focus on deepening step work, healing relationships, and rebuilding self-trust. I am also experienced with helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, and identity concerns. The goal is lasting growth—more clarity, connection, and truly new freedom. Credentials & Experience: I am a licensed Arizona counselor with 14 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's most difficult challenges. I hold two master's degrees and have completed advanced post-graduate training in trauma, abuse and deprivation, and substance use and addiction treatment. My extensive education and years of specialized practice allow me to provide informed, effective care tailored to each person's unique needs and circumstances.
"I draw from several evidence-based therapeutic approaches to fit what you're working through. With CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), we'll look at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and work on shifting patterns that aren't serving you. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps process painful memories and experiences so they lose their emotional grip over time. DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) gives you practical tools for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and staying grounded in the moment. Reality Therapy focuses on the choices you're making right now and whether those choices are moving you toward the life you want. Mindfulness practices help you stay present and develop greater awareness of your inner experience. Early on, we'll figure out together what's happening and bring structure, tools, and perspective. You won't be figuring it out alone. We'll move step by step, keep the work honest and focused, and make sure it's actually useful to you."
