About
Living between two worlds can be both rich and challenging. One world lives inside your home, in the language your family speaks, the food at the dinner table, traditions, and values passed down through generations. The other exists outside, in classrooms, friendships, and a culture that may feel different. Somewhere in between, you may feel like you are balancing many pieces. For many first-generation individuals, this quiet tension can feel heavy, but it also carries resilience, adaptability, and a unique perspective that becomes part of who you are. As a first-generation Iranian-American, I understand how layered this experience can be with holding pride in your heritage, family expectations, and quiet questions of identity and belonging. Here, you don’t have to explain cultural nuances or unspoken dynamics...some things are simply understood without speaking a word. With my education and training as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I use a systems approach to explore family history, generational patterns, cultural influences, and trauma. Together, we can make sense of these layers, honor where you come from, and shape a path that feels authentic to you. Specialties: I have completed training in Emotion-Focused Therapy and EMDR Credentials & Experience: I have over two years of experience supporting adults, couples, and families in distress.
