About

At Agave Center for Behavioral Health, we are a community-based agency dedicated to delivering quality, strengths-based behavioral health services to children, adults, and families. We understand that adverse life experiences can take a real toll on your overall health and wellness, affecting not just you as an individual but your family system and the wider community as well. We believe that, much like the helix found in agave plants, people possess an innate strength and resilience that is fundamental to overcoming adversity. Our goal is to help the people we serve discover their own unique internal resources so they can process and move beyond the challenges of the past. Therapy, at its core, should empower you to tap into that resilience and reclaim your mental wellness. Our team of experienced mental health professionals draws on researched, evidence-based practices to uphold, support, and maintain the recovery and emotional health of every person who walks through our doors. We approach this work with care, compassion, understanding, and integrity. Counseling is not a one-size-fits-all process, so we are constantly listening, learning, and evolving to deliver on these principles. We want to provide a space that feels welcoming, safe, comfortable, and nurturing. Celebrating all dimensions of diversity matters deeply to us, and we are committed to ensuring that everyone who comes here experiences a genuine sense of inclusion and belonging. We are so thrilled you are considering Agave to support you on your unique journey toward a happier, more gratifying, and content life. Specialties: We are experienced with clients facing anxiety, depression, or trauma connected to their relationships or family. We focus on understanding the issues at hand during our initial sessions, and we collaborate to create a plan that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first months and sustained improvement thereafter. Credentials & Experience: Our practice brings together a team of associate and licensed clinicians holding a range of professional credentials. Each clinician brings proven skills and years of experience to guide you on your path. All clinicians practice under the supervision of our Clinical Director, a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS MFT), ensuring that every client receives care held to the highest clinical standards.

"We specialize in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support your healing and growth. Cognitive behavioral therapy helps you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that affect how you feel and act. Dialectical behavioral therapy teaches practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and staying grounded in the present moment. Somatic experiencing gently guides you to tune into your body's physical responses to stress and trauma, helping release tension that may be stored from past experiences. EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) is a structured approach that helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they feel less overwhelming over time. Sand tray therapy allows you to express and explore your inner world using figures and objects in a tray of sand, offering a nonverbal way to process complex emotions. Play therapy creates a safe, natural space—especially helpful for children—to communicate, problem-solve, and work through challenges using play as the primary language. We also draw on other modalities to ensure you receive the care that fits you best. Together, we will explore these options and find the methods that best suit your unique needs and goals."
