About
Do you feel “too much” or often misunderstood? Are you grappling with anxiety, identity struggles, or difficult relationships? Are you looking for an open space to explore these feelings? I work with individuals, especially in the LGBTQ+ community, providing an encouraging space prioritizing inclusivity and authenticity. You may be on a journey to reclaim your voice, or find healthier ways to connect with others. Together, we’ll navigate these challenges with insights that lead to healing and hope. My therapeutic style integrates psychotherapy, art, and nature to foster resilience and empower you to create a life that's true to you. I provide an open online space where you can explore your emotions from wherever feels right for you, anywhere in Alaska. I’m comfortable with unfiltered language and navigating dark places, engaging in conversations that encourage you to dig deeper. I work primarily with adults (18+), exploring the question: "Who am I?" And living more authentically to you. If you’re ready to start, let’s discuss the next steps. My hours are early (as early at 5am) in the day. Together, we will foster the healing and understanding you seek. This collaborative process will encourage you to rediscover your strengths, confront challenges, and cultivate deeper self-awareness. My approach invites you to tap into your personal power. Specialties: While art is often a part of working with me, no artistic expertise is necessary, and art does not have to be a part of the therapeutic process, as I am also trained in traditional talk therapy. Credentials & Experience: I hold an MA in Counseling and Art Therapy and am a Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P). My credentials enable me to blend nontraditional and traditional therapy techniques to support your personal growth and well-being.
"Art therapy can help people grieve, express emotions, share a story, and it gives us something for our bodies to do so our minds can calm. We can move watercolor across a paper, play with clay, build or deconstruct a book, and shred paper to create a collage that speaks mountains more than we ever knew was inside of us. I will sit with you, create with you, and stand by your side."
