About
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC). I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, and recovery using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), to help my clients change by creating solutions rather than focusing on problems. My approach to therapy is client-centered and varies based on the needs of the clients that I work with. I frequently use cognitive behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, as these modalities help the client and me identify challenges and formulate strategies to motivate, achieve, and sustain desired behavioral change. My communication style is calm, understanding, and inviting. I want my clients to feel comfortable, and safe enough to discuss their feelings openly. I take pride in my ability to treat my clients with unconditional positive regard. Specialties: I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults who may be having difficulties with life transitions, work-life balance, and addiction. This may often take the form of anxiety, depression, and stress. I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and to develop techniques to manage these issues and enhance well-being through mindfulness practices. Credentials & Experience: My approach to therapy is client-centered and varies based on the needs of the clients that I work with. I frequently use cognitive behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to help the client identify challenges and sustain desired behavioral change.
