About
Maladaptive thoughts rooted in painful or traumatic experiences can feel impossible to untangle on your own — and if you're living with symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, or depression, you already know how much weight that carries day to day. I'm confident I can walk alongside you as you begin to explore and work through those struggles. Together, we'll build a treatment plan shaped around reducing those symptoms, moving beyond what has held you back, and uncovering the strength and resiliency that already lives within you. My work is grounded in the trauma field, and supporting people toward a genuine sense of empowerment is at the heart of what I do. I'm a certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, and I also hold training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy — an approach that helps desensitize disturbing and traumatic memories so they lose their grip on your present life. Navigating difficult life changes and the weight of past experiences is rarely a straight road. Reach out, and we can start an honest conversation about how to move through these challenges — together. Specialties: Specializes in PTSD, trauma, and anxiety, working with clients through evidence-based techniques such as cognitive reframing and EMDR. Experienced with using these approaches to guide individuals toward desensitization of past trauma and the reprocessing of negative and maladaptive beliefs that weigh us down and prevent us from overcoming.
"My therapeutic approach is grounded in a person-centered philosophy within an eclectic framework, meaning the care you receive is tailored specifically to you rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method. I draw on a range of evidence-based modalities to best support each individual's unique needs and goals. One of the core methods I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based therapeutic approach that examines the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through this work, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives that positively shape how you feel and act in daily life. I also incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful, evidence-based therapeutic approach designed to help you process and heal from distressing past experiences or trauma. It works by engaging the brain's natural ability to recover, allowing painful memories to be reprocessed in a way that reduces their emotional intensity and lasting impact. During our initial intake session, we will take the time to explore your history, concerns, and goals together in order to develop the most appropriate treatment plan that fits you best. Throughout the course of treatment, we will work collaboratively to explore your thoughts and the way you process experiences, with the aim of shifting your outlook and mindset around past events so that they no longer hold you back from living the life you deserve."
