About
I’m passionate about supporting individuals as they build skills to manage anxiety, cope with life-altering events, and develop effective emotional-regulation strategies. In my work with couples, I aim to strengthen relationship skills and deepen emotional connection between partners. In my work with families, I enjoy helping parents respond to challenging behaviors in ways that promote emotional intelligence, provide meaningful consequences, and foster a sense of security in their children. My approach to counseling is integrative as I believe it is essential to get to know each client's perspective and to meet clients where they are in the process of change. My techniques are heavily influenced by Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Starting counseling for the first time—or meeting a new therapist—can feel intimidating. You're more likely to have a positive experience when you feel comfortable with and confident in your therapist. If my approach and experience resonate with you, I invite you to reach out and schedule your first appointment.
"During a first session I want to begin to understand my client's background and what sparked the idea to begin (or resume) therapy. By the end of the session we'll identify some goals for our work together. These conversations help me understand which therapeutic approaches could be the best fit."
