About
If you are struggling with ADHD, a mood-, anxiety-, or substance use disorder and feeling discouraged, or you find yourself at a loss for how to deal with unresolved trauma, grief and loss issues, or major life changes, I invite you to reach out so we can work on it together. I operate from a feminist, fat-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming perspective. Mental health matters, and so do you! I am firmly rooted in a strengths-based, solution-focused approach, and I want to see you succeed in what matters to you. Whether it's anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use, or something else, I will help you develop an action plan/relapse prevention plan to start taking back your power and creating a life that doesn't make you want to escape. If this is your first time seeking help for a mental health issue, I applaud your courage. It can be difficult to admit that we are struggling and allow ourselves to be vulnerable with a new person. I would like to extend to you the offer of a safe and therapeutic space in which to find hope and healing. I look forward to hearing from you. Specialties: When we are finally able not just to tell our story but to have someone really hear the nuances, seek to understand our experience, help us unpack the implications, find new meaning in old experiences, and disrupt negative patterns of thought and behavior we may not have even realized we were stuck in, that's when the healing process can truly begin.
"My goal as a counselor is to co-create a safe physical and psychological space where clients feel comfortable beginning or continuing their healing journey. Human beings are beautifully complex, and I firmly believe in our capacity for growth and transformation when we feel safe and supported. I bring my authentic self to every session, and I love witnessing my clients do the same."
