About
Therapy is a choice you make to support your personal growth, strengthen your mental health and define and work towards life goals. Every person has seasons of life where they struggle and this is an ideal time to work with a therapist. My clients are often feeling depressed or anxious when they start therapy and together we work to find a path that allows them to overcome challenges by developing skills and deepening understanding of who they are, how they came to be the person they are and who they want to become as they reach towards a happier version of themselves. I use multiple therapeutic approaches that are best practices, well-researched and effective at symptom reduction. Ultimately, the client's needs determine the focus of treatment and we will work together to set goals, discuss the methods we will use and how we will measure success. Seeking a therapist is the first step and it can feel scary. My goal is for us to get to know each other and get started quickly to help you feel focused on getting better and less alone. Specialties: I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, caregiver strain, difficulty with relationships or a major life transition and many other problems of living. Our goals may be simply reduced symptoms or to reach a new understanding of what you want your life to become and how to get there. Together we will create a plan that will move you toward your vision of a better life. Credentials & Experience: I am currently licensed for independent clinical practice in Colorado (LCSW) and Alabama (LICSW) with supervisory credentials.
"Our first session is an opportunity to identify areas of strain, set goals and make a plan to begin the work of building the life you want to live. 50 minute sessions available weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. In clinical practice, I use cognitive behavioral therapy and a strengths-based trauma-informed perspective that empowers individual change."
