About
What a year it's been. If you're feeling overwhelmed, sad, anxious, stressed, or betrayed — or wrestling with a life change, marriage, relationship, work, or something else entirely — therapy can help. Here's a bit about me. I work with individuals and couples who want counseling to process the hard stuff: tragedy, trauma, life transitions, and everything in between. I also support couples at every stage of their relationship. I won't hand you advice or tell you what to do. What I will do is help you build healthy coping tools and skills so you can navigate your own path toward mental wellness. Together, we'll create a treatment plan that moves at your pace and centers your concerns and goals. If you need support working through a current crisis, past trauma, anxiety, or depression, counseling can help you transform those challenges into pathways for purpose and growth. Most of my clients are Black women and couples, and I bring an eclectic, liberation-focused lens to each person I work with. Finding the right therapist matters. If you're ready to explore trauma, unmet expectations, boundaries, bitterness, work-life struggles, racial stress, marriage or relationship concerns, reproductive mental health, or any other painful experience — reach out by phone or email to schedule your time on the sofa, in person or virtually. Specialties: Clients say therapy and self-care have been the best investments they have made. They describe becoming better people through the work done on themselves. Having a neutral, objective party saved their sanity and their marriage. One client arrived at a breaking point, feeling depleted, empty, and discouraged, and found that therapy helped them discover healthy ways to exist and respond in relationships. Working on themselves helped their marriage. Credentials & Experience: We help individuals and couples navigate their mental wellness journey — from crisis to enrichment. Our approach draws on evidence-based treatment methods tailored to the unique needs of each client living with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. We are passionate about helping our community work through "the hard" and emerge stronger.
"In our first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. You are welcome to bring notes if that feels helpful. Using an eclectic therapeutic approach — meaning I draw from a variety of evidence-based methods to find what fits you best — we will build a personalized treatment plan together. As a trauma-informed therapist, I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based technique that helps the brain reprocess difficult memories so they feel less overwhelming. This method is available whenever it feels like the right fit for your work. Most sessions are held weekly or bi-weekly. I accept Blue Cross, self-pay, and private-pay options."
