About
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. Based on my experiences and training, I take a developmental approach to helping clients build strategies and skills to manage challenges. I believe our early experiences shape the way we handle distress, problem-solve, and develop relationships. My training in attachment, infant and early childhood mental health, as well as play therapy, have not only served me well in my work with young children but also with clients of all ages since I tend to view current challenges through a developmental lens. I prefer to match my clinical interventions to the strengths and needs of my clients, so I take an integrative approach. For most of my professional experience, I've worked with families raising young children at a community mental health center. I'm a firm believer that coming to therapy should have a little lightness mixed in with the heaviness. One of my strengths is helping others notice and develop their own strengths, so I like learning about others. Trust is a huge proponent of feeling safe sharing about yourself and your goals in therapy. Specialties: For most of my professional experience, I've worked with families raising young children at a community mental health center. I'm happy working with clients of all ages. My strengths tend to lie in working with clients with early childhood trauma, those who are neurodivergent, communication struggles in relationships, and those who want to learn different ways to learn and manage emotions. Credentials & Experience: I am a marriage and family therapist by training. I prefer to match my clinical interventions to the strengths and needs of my clients, so I take an integrative approach. I am a rostered provider of Child-Parent Psychotherapy and have trained in multiple play therapy models.
