About
I help clients who are dealing with overwhelming anxiety, depression, or difficult life transitions, as well as those who are experiencing intrusive thoughts and compulsions. If you feel pressured by constant worry, apathy, and "what-if" thinking, you are not alone and counseling can help! By sharing your concerns, you can work toward emotional and mental wellness. I enjoy working with diverse populations and consider it a privilege to learn from each person's unique story, strengths, and life experiences. I help clients explore the "why" and "how" of their anxiety, OCD, depression, or adjustment issues. We'll walk through how you are feeling, what you are thinking, and how it is effecting your daily life. Using multiple types of treatment, my goal for my clients to learn to accept life as it is, then commit to making changes for a better you. You’ve already taken an important step by seeking support, and I’m here to help you create the change you seek. **Specialties:** I specialize in helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, Bipolar I, BPD, family and couples dynamics, geriatric and dementia-related concerns, and caregiver stress.By working together, you can expect to gain greater clarity, build healthier relationships, and develop strategies to manage life's challenges with confidence and resilience. **Credentials & Experience:** I have years of experience working with people to support their needs. I listen to learn about my clients' lives, concerns, and wins. As an active counselor, I work with clients to identify root causes, lean into their own insight and abilities, and then provide interventions to support healing.
"I focus on the theory of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) because it helps clients address challenges in a flexible and empowering way. This approach helps clients develop a healthier relationship with their inner experiences while staying committed to actions promoting their goals. When clients embrace their emotions and focus on their values, ACT fosters resilience and growth."
