I have been working in various capacities with clients for over 25 years. People often come to see me for concerns about depression, anxiety, relationships, career concerns, stress, identity or grief. I work with individual adults ages 18-60. In addition to depression, anxiety, anger, and issues of adjustment, I often work with individuals who have experienced trauma or those who may have difficulty verbalizing their experiences. I also work with many people who have experienced childhood emotional neglect (CEN). I am an integrative therapist and tailor my approach to each individual client. However, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) , EMDR and Attachment Theory. It takes courage to ask for help! By reading this, you are taking an important first step. You are ready to change. I view therapy as a collaborative approach where you and I work together to accomplish your therapeutic goals. I create a warm, safe, nurturing, empathic environment conducive to healing and growth. **Specialties:** I see my role as teaching clients tools to feel better and increase their self awareness. I typically have clients keep a thought log to track thoughts and feelings and learn basic CBT skills. I then teach thought defusion (an ACT skill). While I no longer do couples therapy, I have completed Gottman couples training so I use this lens to help clients understand and improve their relationships. **Credentials & Experience:** I have over 25 years of experience helping adults with depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, grief, trauma and life transitions. I'm licensed as a psychologist in both WI and CA.
