I'm a certified EMDR therapist licensed in New Hampshire and Maine. EMDR is an approach to treating trauma as well as other issues and negative core beliefs keeping us stuck. My areas of interest are trauma, complex trauma, sexual assault / abuse, feminist issues, supporting the queer and trans community and the slightly eccentric and off-beat. I want to be a cozy and welcoming place you looking forward to coming to. I work with people ages 18+. EMDR is my primary modality, but I'm a big believer that the most powerful healing tool we have is the safety & connection of the therapeutic relationship, providing corrective experiences in the therapy office. This heals. I've supported people in various capacities for 15 + years, including several years as a birth doula. My personality is down-to-earth, yet professional. I'm not interested in being a cookie cutter, blank slate type therapist. When I'm not working I'm practicing Ashtanga Yoga, knitting, learning to metalsmith, hanging with my 4 lb. rescued chihuahua, 3 black cats and watching spooky things.
