Racquel Taylor Weaver
Licensed Professional Counselor
·MA, LPC, LPCSAbout
Hey there! I’m Racquel! I’m a wife, mom, and founder of Edit Therapy Group. I'm passionate about helping women heal from trauma and thrive. I'm also an LPC Supervisor, so I get to help train other therapists. My style as a therapist is pretty flexible. I believe in tapping into all sorts of resources – sometimes we'll use art or somatic movement, other times music might be the key. I specialize in trauma work/EMDR and I'll tailor my approach to what works best for you. I love empowering my clients to trust themselves. I believe that YOU are the expert on YOU and I’m here to help guide you. I’ve worked with families, children, teens and adults for the last 23 years. My areas of expertise include processing and healing from trauma, managing mood symptoms, spectrum disorders, healing in relationships, women's issues, stress management, parenting challenges and adjusting to change. Looking for the right therapist takes courage. It's so important to find someone who is the right fit for you. I'd love to hear from you! **Specialties:** I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma related symptoms, parenting challenges, educational difficulties, sensory sensitivities and relationship difficulties. I specialize in women's issues. We will work together to create a plan, specialized for you, to start experiencing some symptom relief. **Credentials & Experience:** I'm trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy for trauma, anxiety and depression. I've worked with families/children/adults for the last 23 years. I also provide LPC Supervision for therapists under supervision for licensure.
"My approach to therapy is pretty creative-using art, somatic movement, music and sometimes a little humor. I'm committed to giving you techniques that you can practice between sessions. If creativity isn't your vibe, I'm always down for traditional talk therapy. I also provide LPC Supervision for LPC Canidates."
