Michelle Smith
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
·LCSWAbout
You are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained—and unsure where to turn. Whether you're carrying the weight of past trauma, navigating intense anxiety, feeling lost in depression, or trying to seek treatment for past traumas, you're not alone. Therapy can help you find what's happening, and find relief. I specialize in working with individuals who: Feel stuck in cycles of negative thinking. Struggle with chronic anxiety or depression. Carry unresolved trauma. Want structured tools, not just someone to talk to (although there may be times we do just this). Value a balance of compassion and accountability. I help clients develop insight, build practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel safe, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Using evidence-based approaches like DBT, CBT, and EMDR, I tailor therapy to your unique needs. It takes courage to seek support, and I honor that step. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can talk about what you're looking for and see if we're a good fit. You don’t have to go through this alone. I do tend to be a better fit for people looking for something a little different than talk therapy. **Specialties:** I treat trauma, anxiety, and depression with EMDR, CBT, and DBT. EMDR is a powerful tool that allows for healing without re-telling traumatic experiences. **Credentials & Experience:** As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience, I help individuals build the tools they need to feel more in control of their emotions, improve their relationships, and begin to truly heal.
"I often use Dialectical Behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to help you find tools or new ways of thinking that will help you manage you symptoms well after therapy ends. While I might ask you you do some work outside of therapy it will be as much or as little as we decide fits your needs and schedule. It will be a team approach."
