About
Having worked with military service members for over two years, I understand the unique challenges and culture of military life. I provide a nonjudgmental, confidential space where individuals can openly process difficult experiences. Seeking therapy can be hard, especially within the military, but support is essential. I also work with civilians. I have experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and family concerns. I believe lasting change happens when individuals align their actions with their personal values and strengths to improve overall well-being. I My primary treatment orientation involves person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive processing therapy. I look forward to getting to know you and would be honored to be a part of your journey of self-discovery. **Specialties:** I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety or depression, or who have stress in their life such as big life transitions, grief, etc. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that meets you where you're at. Therapy is a journey for you to lead and for me to listen, support, and guide. **Credentials & Experience:** My master's program included a practicum and internship, so I began practicing while in school under the direct guidance of my professors.
"I often use person-centered therapy, because I believe that being able to live our lives as our true authentic selves is paramount. I may bring in techniques from solution-focused therapy or humanistic psychology to provide psycho-education and help you refine your view of self through unconditional positive regard and empathetic understanding through genuineness, active listening, and reflection."
