Mia Becton
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
·LCSWAbout
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and work with clients throughout Connecticut via telehealth. Life is full of turns, curves, and challenges and our time together can unlock possibilities, potentials, and peace. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, and sleep issues. I also have extensive experience, 33 years, in helping children and adolescents manage their emotions, enhance their self-esteem, and tackle issues impacting their school success. My approach to therapy is eclectic, which means I use a variety of approaches to help you arrive at your best self. Frequently, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while combining elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. I create a judgment-free and calm environment for sessions with clients. I believe that our time together should be peaceful where clients look forward to coming to sessions to work on alleviating symptoms, accomplishing goals, and developing better coping strategies.
