Life has inevitable ebbs and flows and it can often feel like we’re playing a never-ending game of whack-a-mole trying to get rid of things we dislike about ourselves. Sometimes we need a refresher on what our personal values are and how to align with the things that are meaningful and fulfilling for us. You bring your self-knowledge and life experience, I’ll bring my clinical background and nonjudgement. My role is to provide a space that you feel comfortable enough in to begin to remove masks and explore your most authentic self. I’ll guide you toward self-compassion for your humanness and removing shame from the unique parts that make you who you are. I like to incorporate inner child work as a way to understand how past experiences influence who you are today. Together we will look at what purpose certain behavioral patterns you feel stuck in have and whether or not things like self-sabotage, escapism, avoidance and certain relationship dynamics are still serving you.
"I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy paired with Acceptance and Commitment therapy in my practice with clients. With these, we'll look at the connection between core beliefs, behavioral patterns and internal dialogue. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to challenge negative thinking and use compassionate and reality based self-talk."
