Lauren Freeman
Licensed Professional Counselor
·MEd, LPCAbout
Hello, my name is Lauren Freeman. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with almost five years of experience working in the mental health field. It is my passion to work with Black women, femmes, and girls in healing from their trauma, reclaiming their wholeness, and finding peace, rest, and joy in a world that is committed to silence and erasing our experiences. Are you someone who is struggling with anxiety or depression? A person who is trying to juggle all of their roles and being spread thin? A trauma survivor learning to thrive? Perhaps someone trying to navigate their intersectionality of race, gender, age, or sexuality? I am a trauma-informed clinician with knowledge in how trauma affects the mind, body, and soul. I use various modalities based on individual client needs, including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed CBT, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing, IFS, brainspotting, and other somatic modalities I believe that while our brains and bodies learned to adapt to trauma, we can also teach our brains and bodies to adapt to safety and resilience. It takes strength to be vulnerable and honest in taking steps towards healing and liberation. With clinical background and personal experience, I hope to be a container of healing for clients to live authentically. **Specialties:** During our initial sessions, we will dive deep into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. **Credentials & Experience:** I'm a licensed counselor with five years of clinical experience, providing care across the state of Ohio. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to each client's unique needs.
