·LMFTAbout
Everything is easier when you feel confident that your partner is in your corner. Sharing the weight of your struggles and amplifying life's joys are what make a couple worth all the work. Our greatest emotional wounds come from our relationships, and our romantic relationships hold the most healing capacity for not only our collective healing but our individual healing as well. If you're looking for better communication, repairing trust, or throwing out the rulebook and creating your own new paradigm, Courageous Couples Counseling is here to help. I work with couples of all kinds, and welcome those exploring ethical non-monogamy or those negotiating kink dynamics. As a queer therapist, I love working with other LGBTQIA+ folx. Many common themes arise among all relationships such as managing conflicts effectively and defining the subconscious influences that undermine a couple's safety and security. You and your partner have been working so hard to figure things out on your own. I would love to support you through the process of uncovering the relationship of your dreams. Please visit my website to learn more about how I can work with you and take courage knowing that you aren't alone along your healing journeys. **Specialties:** I work with LGBTQIA individuals and designer relationships, including polyamorous/ENM and the wide variety of kink dynamics. I also offer pre-marital counseling packages for those embarking on the journey to legal partnership. Most of my clients report more productive disagreements and conversations within the first several sessions. **Credentials & Experience:** I am licensed in both CA and OR and am working on additional certification in sex therapy. With over 10 years of experience working, I utilize a combination of psychobiological (PACT) and relational (Gottman) methodologies to help couples and individuals navigate uniquely contemporary complexities.
"I draw on both the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy and PACT (the psychobiological approach) in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore how you first learned to love and what brought you to therapy. Then we'll dive into the science and art of communication, navigating conflict, creating profound safety and security, and rebuilding your playbook for connection with your partner(s)."
