Kayla Grogg Meador
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
·LICSW, LCSWAbout
Therapy to me is about being seen and supported, not “fixed.” I bring humor, transparency, and humanness into every session, because healing happens in real relationships. I’ve spent nearly a decade helping people move through life like anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, and life transitions. I’m also a combat veteran which has shaped both my resilience and my passion for walking alongside others who feel overwhelmed, unseen, or stretched too thin. I support: - Adults and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma - Women across life stages, including perinatal and postpartum support - Military service members, veterans, and their families - Individuals exploring identity, boundaries, or relationship dynamics - Substance use concerns -Anything in between when your life is lifeing In our sessions, you can expect space to explore what’s happening now and how past experiences shape the present. I use a mix of evidence-based approaches and a person-centered style to offer both honest feedback and practical tools. Many clients share that they leave feeling more grounded, confident, connected, and supported. **Specialties:** I have nearly a decade of experience, primarily in private practice. I believe in relationship and connection as valuable components of therapy,I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family dynamics. I also work with clients who would like to understand their emotions and thinking patterns. **Credentials & Experience:** I am licensed in WV, NC, and VA. I have completed trainings in DBT, military/first-responders, psychodynamic, relational therapies, among others.
"I often use psychodynamic, relational, emotion focused, CBT, DBT, and other integrative therapies. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. The goal is to meet you where you are."
