About

I am passionate about helping couples, individuals and families strengthen their relationships and perceptions of themselves. I can assist your healing from trauma and help you navigate through difficult life transitions. I hold a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from John Brown University and use a range of highly effective, evidence-based counseling approaches. I use a combination of Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I am highly skilled in Grief Recovery as well as Affair Recovery. I am also proficient at using Brainspotting to assist with stuck points, performance anxiety and clients with Trauma. BrainSpotting locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. (https://brainspotting.com/). The interesting thing about this technique it is so applicable to almost any challenging issue such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, relational issues and resentments. I can help you heal. If you have been stuck in a life situation that seems hopeless and frustrating with seemingly no end in sight, reach out to me today. Even if you have not benefited from therapy in the past; try the neurophysiological approach. Allow your brain to process deep hurts and challenges through focused mindfulness. Change happens quickly and impressively. **Specialties:** I work with Couples struggling with challenges involving poor communication and lack of connection. I also work with Individuals who are struggling with Anxiety, Depression and low self esteem. I also help people who are going through life stage changes at any age from 18-80. If you have difficulty communicating and exploring your feelings, you may benefit from Brainspotting. **Credentials & Experience:** I founded a ministry in Memphis TN and out of that ministry was called to counsel at age 53. I finished my BS then my masters at age 60. I also am a Nationally Certified Mental Health Counselor. I focus on the source of the trauma both individually and in relationships and use Brainspotting to help.

"For Couples and Individuals struggling with previous trauma and/or traumatic relationships; I use Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). They may begin from the first session to immediately treat symptoms like Anxiety, Overwhelm and Depression. The next step is Brain-Spotting which is a technique for my clients to learn to process their previous trauma, disappointments and stuck points."
