·ALCAbout
I graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2023 with my Master of Arts in Counseling. Since then, I have focused on helping people work through their anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, couples counseling, life changes, and much more. I am a Clinical Trauma Specialist, trained by the Arizona Trauma Institute, Gottman Couples Therapy Method certified, and a Certified Prepare Enrich Facilitator. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, primarily utilizing Person-Centered Therapy, DBT, CBT, IFS, and Somatic Experiencing. I see therapy as a holistic process, aiming to improve all aspects of life not just mental health. How this looks in practice is learning coping skills, learning to understand your own body and emotions, and establishing a therapeutic relationship that helps you feel safe, supported, and confident. **Specialties:** I work with clients who are experiencing major life changes, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Together, we will work on building skills to manage life's difficulties and increasing awareness of how your difficulties are affecting your body, relationships, and your life. **Credentials & Experience:** I have additional training in helping clients with substance use, trauma, and couples therapy. I have extensive experience with counseling young men, adolescents, couples, and people struggling with substance use.
"I often use methods of therapy that help people keep their brain and body regulated and working together. Ultimately, I will utilize many different approaches such as IFS, DBT, CBT, Somatic experiencing, and others to find which are most beneficial to you specifically. Treatment is something we will continue to fine tune together during your journey."
