About

Currently accepting clients as of 03/03/26. I work with adults who want to live a meaningful life that isn’t dominated by shame, insecurity, anxiety and other forms of suffering. I strive to help clients build a compassionate, adaptive relationship to themselves and the world around them that reduces self-defeating patterns. Issues I address include childhood trauma, mood and anxiety, relationship struggles, substance use, life transitions, and gender and sexuality exploration. I believe all people struggle to deal with emotional pain, but with support and compassion, it is possible to live a life liberated from suffering. I view clients as complex individuals, not as collections of diagnoses and problems. I use evidence-based models tailored to each person's values and life context, including mindful, psychodynamic, somatic, EMDR, and experiential approaches. I am especially passionate about helping clients untangle from complex trauma, shame, and internalized oppression. I understand the challenge of finding a therapist. It is important to consider fit in this process carefully. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation to help you get a feel for what it may be like to work with me. If we find we are not a fit, I will gladly offer other recommendations for the help you need. **Specialties:** My process is depth-oriented and mindful. In sessions with me, we intentionally explore emotions and patterns so that you can free yourself from thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs that perpetuate your pain and suffering. With this greater sense of understanding, my clients tend to express feeling more able to help themselves, handle their emotions, and feel ownership of their lives. **Credentials & Experience:** I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 5 years. I am level 2 certified in NARM and trained in S.A.F.E. EMDR, models for treating PTSD and complex and relational trauma. I regularly seek continuing education and consultation to support the therapeutic process.

"Evidence supports that the therapeutic relationship is the single most important factor for successful therapy, so I place the most emphasis on building trust and understanding clients as whole, complex people. I tend to use a combination of practical and depth-based psychotherapies to support emotional shifts and to apply these shifts to life outside of the therapy room."
