Brandi Hoffman
Counselor
·MS, LMHCAbout
My goal as a therapist is to help you discover some reasoning behind pain and suffering, and to assist you in making cognitive and behavioral choices that can support in finding meaning in the struggle. When we can look inward with an openness and curiosity in a judgment free setting, we can begin to let go of what no longer serves us, and practice skills to change our experience to align closer with the life we want to live. In private practice, I work mostly with individuals who struggle with mood/thought disorders, effective communication, self-esteem/self-worth, and with couples who would like to strengthen their relationships. I have 9 years of experience working with individuals struggling with a wide range of challenging diagnoses, as well as those struggling with difficult life experiences (grief, divorce, retirement, etc.). I have been trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, MI and pull from many other modalities to tailor treatment to the unique struggles of the individuals I work with. I would like to be your support as you look inward in a safe space that allows for insight building, growth, and the development of healthy skills. Everyone is capable of living the life they want to live and it is a privilege to support people in getting there. Please reach out for a consultation if you believe that I could be a good fit for your journey. **Specialties:** I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, negative thinking, low self-esteem/self-efficacy, and people who would like to strengthen their communication and relationships to others. I like to first work to learn about you struggles and build insight into patterns that might be contributing to your suffering, and then develop a plan to assist you to move closer to the life you want.
"I tailor each treatment approach to the unique struggles of the people I work with. I pull mostly from a mixture of step-by-step, solution-focused approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior therapy, as well as approaches that are person-centered, existential, and more non-traditional, while still evidence-based, to assist others in a way that aligns with them best."
