A significant focus of my practice is marriage counseling, where I use an integrative approach to teach couples more effective communication while increasing their acceptance of and understanding for each other. I also enjoy working with new and expectant mothers and their families adjusting to the demands of becoming new parents. In addition, I have a particular interest in helping older adults, age 65 and older adjust and cope to changes in their lives and their families. Social isolation and loneliness are key factors in a person’s struggle with anxiety and depression. I believe in the power of human connectedness and effective communication. I offer support, insight, and guidance to help you overcome the emotional barriers that have prevented you from having strong and healthy relationships. Please reach out to discuss taking this important next step in your journey toward healing. I truly enjoy building a personalized relationship and approach to every person and family that I work with and if I am not the right person, I will help guide you to someone who is. **Specialties:** I work quickly to create comfort, safety, and an open dialogue to help us identify quickly the primary issues that are bringing distress. I will help you build the necessary skills to decrease symptoms, improve relationships and communication patterns with those you love, and increase your self-confidence. **Credentials & Experience:** I have been working with adults, couple's, and families at Family Service for 19 years, supervise interns and trainees, and am the Clinical Director of our agency.
"I draw from many different types of therapy including CBT, DBT, Person-Centered, Integrative Couple's Therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and Solution-focused work."
