About

Life can be difficult, and very stressful! That’s why I take a more comprehensive approach. As a cognitive behavioral therapist, I work with clients’ feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. In addition, as a Certified Brain Health Coach, I suggest strategies which provide efficient pathways to emotional wellbeing. Since everyone has unique strengths and needs, I work with clients to tailor a healing pathway which best suits each person individually. Clients are an active part of the therapeutic process. With over 20 years experience, my areas of expertise include stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, and parenting skills. The ability to understand and get to the heart of my clients' concerns, is perhaps one of my greatest strengths. I assist clients in sorting through their pain and confusion. Then I present a selection of strategies and pathways to resolve or manage their difficulties. Clients choose the approach which best suits them. I approach therapy as a cooperative partnership in which I work with individuals, couples, and families to reduce pain/stress, and increase peace of mind, harmony, and level of functioning. **Specialties:** I work with clients who are struggling with work/life stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, marriage/relationship issues, and parenting difficulties. I use a Cognitive Behavioral approach, which means I help clients with both their thoughts and behaviors which may be contributing to their problems. Most clients start to feel better in about 2 to 4 weeks, and continue to improve from there. **Credentials & Experience:** I have over 25 years experience helping adults, teens, and children, manage stress, resolve issues, improve relationships, and function optimally. I am licensed in CT and SC, and have certificates in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Brain Health Coaching.

"I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in conjunction with a wholistic mind-body- brain approach. In our first session, I seek to fully understand the nature of your concerns and what you hope to obtain from therapy. Working together, we develop a few different strategies to help you reach your goal(s). As we continue to work together, we may adjust these strategies based on your needs."
