“Respect,” taken from Latin, means “to look again.” As a clinician, what I recognize most about my clients is their need to be seen and heard. I assist clients in improving their mental and physical well-being by providing evidence-based interventions, strategies, and coping skills. Leading with compassion and empathy are key elements for me as a counselor. I respect every client's humanity, I empathize with their stories, and we collaborate to forge the path that they desire for their lives. I have found that using an Integrative approach to therapy allows for tailoring different theoretical orientations to the individual. Utilizing Psychodynamic theory also helps me better understand the client's lived experience. I currently collaborate with adolescent and adult populations. Eventually, I would like to work with the Senior population. Building rapport and a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients is pivotal in fostering a collaborative journey that will help them feel heard and empowered. I create an environment that focuses on safety, a sense of belonging, and encouragement. **Specialties:** I primarily work with clients who are challenged with severe anxiety, major depression, and trauma. The client and I collaborate on long and short-term treatment goals. We also discuss coping strategies and incorporate homework assignments, which help reduce symptoms, if not eliminate them. **Credentials & Experience:** I have over four years of experience collaborating with a variety of populations in pursuit of making their lives better. I have officially obtained my LPMHC in July of 2024 and will pursue my license in Pennsylvania. I also hold my National Counselor's Certification.
"I often use Integrative therapy in my practice. In your initial sessions, we discuss your primary concerns and we begin to explore your childhood experiences. This approach will allow for an individualized, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on your unique needs."
